Who The Heck Is Brook James?
Who the crap is Brook James you ask? Well, that’s a good question. Hmmm… Where do I start?
I am a happily married man so back off girls! I’m taken! I married the love of my life, Kara-Kae, on February 29th, 2008 (Yes, that is correct. It is the 29th. We have an aniversary once every 4 years! It saves on gifts that I have to buy and is a built in excuse if I ever forget. I mean come on. It only happens once every 4 years! How am I supposed to remember that? Think it will work? Me either.). We live in Huntington Beach, CA, but we are happy to be the Oklahomans that we are! We also have a great dog/child named Jack Bauer and a baby girl on the way! Let’s see. The other stuff that makes me…well…me. I am a pastor, a worshipper, a musician and an aspiring writer. I love pretty much any sport. Basketball, baseball, football, soccer, golf, wakeboarding, snowboarding, surfing, poker (although I am in agreement with you that it is not a sport), etc. I love my Jeep Wrangler that is sweet and I am thrilled that God brought us out here to live near the beach!
As for the title of the blog “May vision of You be the death of me”, I stole borrowed the phrase from a Shane & Shane song. I believe that when we truly see Christ we can’t do anything but be humbled and die to ourselves and live for Him! That is when God uses us to change the world. I want to be humbled at the sight of Christ, see my pride die anyway, and be a part of changing the world!
I hope you enjoy this blog. The posts here will vary from funny to pointless to spiritual to serious so if for some reason you wanna read what I think about, then by all means please do so! Leave comments! I love comments. They make the blogging world go ’round. Also, I would love to link your blog to my if you have one!
Dude. Your dog is named Jack Bauer.
That just blesses my socks off.

Oh, love the dog’s name, it rocks.
Brook and Kara Kae,
The Thrash Family still misses you dearly. Brook, you wouldn’t believe how good Micah has gotten on drums…his latest…”We’re Not Going To Take It” – Twisted Sister. Have a great Easter and catch up with us every now and then!

I just found your blog! Everything I have read so far has been quite interesting – I can’t wait to see more.
Glory be to God in the highest.
WHAT? “…schizophrenic writer with the personalities of a Christ follower, husband, pastor, worshipper, musician, daddy, and so much more all mixed into one.” I can’t believe you left out the most important one…you didn’t write ‘dog owner!’ You’re barkin’ up the wrong tree. I can’t believe I didn’t rate a mention. Dude, that’s ruff, ruff, ruff! 😉
